Exempting FCCS 1100
Students who think they possess adequate computer skills and do not need to take FCCS 1100 can take an exemption test at the Assessment Center in the Library. Phyllis Chunn will sign up interested students and administer the test ( or call 706-802-5318).
The students will be asked to take a multiple choice test which deals with Windows 95, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, e-mail, and basic computer concepts. After the multiple choice test, they will be given a topic which they will research quickly online and write a short paper detailing their findings to demonstrate their competence with the word processor and searching for information online. When completed, the tests will be given to Jimmy Barnes and Harriet Kiser for grading. Students will be notified by e-mail as to whether or not they exempted the course.
